THE I Do! Bridal Expo, presented by Africanos, on March 24 and 25, is set to be the most exciting bridal event in Nelson Mandela Bay to date.

The Expo is a one-stop collection of the best in the bridal business to help brides plan their perfect day. It’s a peek into the chic and trendy side of weddings and other formal events.

So, whether you are planning your wedding or choosing dresses and decor for a dance or a big bash, this year’s Bridal Expo will have all the choices.

The on-trend theme for the I Do! Bridal Expo this year is Boho Glam – a playful bohemian take on the usual glamourous silhouette…think wild flowers, whimsical romance under an African sky and unexpected colours from dusty rose, mauve to pale blues and even black!

Visitors can look forward to two days of bridal fashion shows, loads of competitions, beautiful exhibitions and the full red-carpet treatment.

Algoa FM presenters Daron Mann and Siobhan Momberg will MC the bridal fashion shows with their sharp wit and lots of entertaining crowd interaction.

Entrance is R60 for adults and R40 for learners; or R100 for a full two-day weekend pass. Doors open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 5pm.

Tickets can be bought at the expo entrance.

The Boardwalk Exhibition Centre is, once again, the proud host of the I Do! Bridal Expo, and a superb venue for memorable weddings and other elegant events; thanks to their wide variety of venue choices, including their ultra-romantic pool deck area.

Visitors to the I Do! Bridal Expo will be inspired by two different daily bridal fashion shows. The first will showcase the city’s established bridal designers at 12 noon while the second show at 2pm will highlight bridal fashion by the Bay’s young, emerging designers.

In a new collaboration, Nelson Mandela Bay Fashion Week (NMBFW) has hand-picked 10 up-and-coming designers to offer the wedding market their fresh take on bridal wear.

The weekend programme will include onstage workshops, live entertainment, a stylish bar lounge area as well as the ever-popular Bridal Café to enjoy sweet and savoury lunch and tea treats.

Brides will also have the chance to enter the amazing I Do! Want to Win a Wedding Competition hosted at the luxurious Africanos Country Estate in Addo, worth over R250 000! The competition launches on February 14.

So, gather your family, bridesmaids, boyfriends, girlfriends and grooms, and head to the Boardwalk Exhibition Centre in Port Elizabeth next month; diarise March 24 and 25 for an event designed to inspire!
