Parkrun with a Valentine’s Day flavour this Saturday

PARKRUN - a free, weekly, 5km, timed run that is open to all ages and abilities - takes place again this weekend, but with a fun Valentine’s Day theme.

“We encourage runners to dress in red and hearts and spread the Parkrun community love. We are also hoping to see some Parkrunners dressed as cupids,” Parkrun Event Directors’ Tamarin Ellis said.

PE Hobie Beach parkrun started on August 10, 2013, and since then 8 010 different runners, including participants from 151 athletics clubs, have completed 48 517 runs covering a total distance of 242 585 km.

Parkrun happens every Saturday at 8am at Hobie Beach, Sharkrock pier and runners can register for free at
