DAN Patlansky is working on a brand new set and format for shows for his upcoming Duo Electric tour, which promises to be a unique and special new offering to fans.

The audience can look forward to exciting elements to the show such as the rethinking of song arrangements and reinventing existing ideas when Patlansky performs at the Music Kitchen this Friday.

The artist was voted the ninth best blues guitarist in the world by Total Guitar & Musicradar in December last year, and his latest studio offering, Perfection Kills, was voted the number two best blues rock album by Blues Rock Review USA last year.

The tour will feature Patlansky on electric guitar, joined by a keyboard player Dean Barrett, the first time ever he will be performing with his electric guitar in intimate settings.

“I have been doing solo acoustic shows between tours for as long as I can remember, and think it is time for a change.

“This time I am on electric guitar with a keyboard,” Patlansky said.

“A good keyboard player can cover a lot of ground, and keys are a massive part of the vision I have for the tour,” he added.

Patlansky will be choosing songs specifically to fit the format of the show and his repertoire will feature songs from his last three albums, and a few other surprises.

Tickets are available at R170 per person and can be booked at http://bit.ly/2ERzzao.

The show starts at 19:30.
