PE Stars secure an away draw

PE Stars FC managed to salvage a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home, when they faced Mthatha Bucks at Mthatha Stadium on Saturday.

Following the tragic loss of their skipper, Thulani Motloung, the Nelson Mandela Bay side fought like a wounded lion against the former National First Division side, Bucks, at their home ground.

Stars did not respect the hosts because they took the game to them. The Nelson Mandela Bay lads were ready to cause an upset, but the result was a true reflection of the game.

Another Bay side, Swartkopsvalley United Brothers (SUBS), failed to impress their home supporters after they went down 2-0 to their neighbours, Sibanye FC, at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Friday.

Another unfortunate Bay side, Future Tigers, succumbed 1-0 to Butterworth FC on their home turf, Rosedale Stadium in Uitenhage, on Friday.

Kwazakhele football lovers were treated to an early Christmas present, after their side, Peace Makers, whacked The Guys 3-0 at the Wolfson Stadium on Saturday.

Bizana Pondo Chiefs returned to their winning ways following their 1-0 victory over Yakha United at Mpeshwa Sports Field in Bizana also on Saturday.

Tornado FC accumulated a well-deserved 2-0 home victory when they took on Bush Bucks in East London.

Despite their 2-1 loss to Amavarara FC at Dumpy Adams Stadium in Komani, Highbury gave up a good fight.

Birmingham City took Matta Milan to cleaners, after they outplayed them 3-0 at North End Stadium in East London.
