Sasol Ladies’ League heats up

A FEW sides found themselves on the receiving end after losing some valuable points during the Sasol Ladies’ League games on Saturday.

City Lads made their home supporters happy when they walloped Amanqilo Birds Ladies 3-1 at Chevrolet Stadium in New Brighton.

Sophakama Ladies registered a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Golden Stars Ladies in their Nelson Mandela Bay derby which took place at Zwide Stadium, while Bashee Eagles crashed 4-0 to Eastern Rangers Ladies at Dutywa Stadium.

Red Roses Ladies earned a 2-1 home victory over Highbury Ladies at Mt Frere Sports Fields, while University of Fort Hare snatched a narrow 2-1 home victory from Eluhewini Ladies at UFH Campus Sports Field in Alice.

Thunderbirds Ladies edged out Executive Ladies 3-1 at Walter Sisulu Ibika Campus Grounds in Butterworth. Birmingham City Ladies also humiliated Cumakala Ladies 4-0 at Amalinda Sports Ground in East London.
