SHOWVILLAGE United supporters were disappointed when their side failed to collect the three maximum points in a scrappy, goalless Safa Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional home game against the Ikamva Movers at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.

The two outfits played deep, with the game lacking fireworks.

In the second half, Movers striker Mbongeni Keita Yako was nearly rewarded with a goal, but his shot sailed over the cross bar.

Showvillage United right-winger Malizole Sallas Wasa shot a scorcher to Movers goalie Ayabulela Ntsizakala, who stood his ground.

Yako penetrated between Anathi China Kalipa and Kopano Mpafa, but the lanky striker’s shot was saved by Siviwe Foffy Dumse.

Showvillage left wing Ambrose Shuffle Booysen was tightly marked by Movers’ fullback Vuyisani Ramos Dilima.

In another Motherwell derby, loyal Motherwell Academy supporters whimpered after their high-riding side went down 2-0 to Camper United following their excellent performance.

Ndyebo Mazantsi and Thando Mjojeli banged a goal each for Camper and Fairview Rovers snatched an away 3-0 win from Royal Bucs at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.
