Sonjica scores late winner for Camper United

2019-03-13 06:01

LUDWE Sonjica’s late goal for Camper United salvaged their three league points from Amarhamba United on Saturday.

The two teams faced off in an SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League clash at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

It was clear that Amarhamba were playing for a draw because they defended in numbers.

That almost helped the Uitenhage side. Camper could not crack the solid wall of Amarhamba.

An abundance of clear-cut chances for Camper went begging. Camper tried repeatedly to search for an opening goal but Amarhamba kept packing the defence as they were looking for a draw.

Camper skipper, Chippa Tsewana, delivered a perfect pass to Sonjica who cracked a dramatic late goal that guided the Motherwell NU 12 side to a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
