MOTHERWELL-BASED side Sparks Masters made their loyal supporters happy when they thrashed Young Pirates 4-2 in their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Masters’ Association League game at the Motherwell NU 13 Grounds last week Sunday.

Following their two consecutive losses over two weeks, Sparks Masters bounced back to register their remarkable victory over the Uitenhage side.

Bulelani Kwayiyo, Melikhaya Kula, Jomo Rixana and Makhaya Qwabe each scored a goal for the victors, while Tshepiso Mdepa and Mzwandile Zwayi Fundam came up with Pirates’ goals.

As things stand, Sparks seem to have returned to their winning ways.

Following their 2-0 loss to Winners, AmaUnits also snatched a comfortable 2-0 victory from Joe Slovo at Chevrolet Stadium.

AmaUnits striker Luzuko Dzuyi Hambaze scored a brace for the Kwazakhele side. Both goals were scored in the second half.

AmaUnits looked more aggressive and they did not give Slovo a chance to breathe.

Other results of the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Masters’ Association League:

  • Soweto Masters 0-0 Zwide Masters
  • Veeplaas Masters 0-0 Volkswagen Masters
  • PE All Stars 2-2 PE Eleven
  • Villagers 2-1 New Brighton
