St Francis Hospice gets into the Christmas spirit

2017-12-06 06:01

ST Francis Hospice will be celebrating the Christmas festive season in style this month with a Hospice Hero lucky draw and a Christmas Carols evening.

St Francis Hospice has been providing home-based care to more than 200 patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, HIV/Aids and motor neurone disease, at no cost to the patients since the mid-1980s.

As part of their Hospice Hero Drive, they offered community members the chance to win R10 000. All they had to do to enter the draw is become a Hospice Hero by donating as little as R50 a month. The draw is taking place tonight at their Hospice Hero cocktail evening.

St Francis Hospice will also be hosting a Christmas Carols evening on December 14 at their grounds in Hospice Lane, Taybank, at 5pm.

Those who wish to attend can bring along a blanket and picnic basket. There is no entry fee, but attendees are encouraged to bring an item of dry or canned goods to add to the patients’ Christmas hampers. For info contact Lynn van Vuuren on 041 360 7070. – REPORTER
