A NUMBER of the so-called big teams in the Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League were on the losing end of several matches this past weekend.

The current MOFA Premier League champions, Manchester United’s, supporters could not believe when their side was held to a 5-5 draw by the unpredictable Young Ideas at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium.

Manchester FC gave their supporters a surprisingly good result when they defeated the gutsy Young Madrid 4-1 in front of their home supporters, while Young Tiger also stunned the high-riding Highland Spurs when they shared a 1-1 draw in their match.

The newcomers, Happy Stars, went down in flames in their 1-0 loss to City Rangers. FC Angels led the tough Crystal Palace into a 1-1 draw, while Royal Bucs rubbed salt into the wounds of Tomorrow Stars after they overcame them 1-0.

Showvillage United Brothers accumulated three maximum points following their soft points over Amathole FC.

Real Strikers similarly didn’t need to work up a sweat for their three league points after Valencia failed to produce the proper players’ cards. Real Aces played to a 1-1 draw against Wells United.

Shining Stars walloped Swartkops Valley United Brothers (SUBS) 5-2.
