Sunridge 7s to take place on Saturday

THE learners of Sunridge Primary School are preparing themselves for the Old Mutual Sunridge 7s that will take place this Saturday, May 20.

With their main sponsors, Old Mutual and KFC, backing it, the event promises to be fun-filled for everyone.

Schools from around the Eastern Cape will be participating in the various sporting events.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the u/13 rugby, u/11 rugby, u/12 netball and u/13 netball categories, while eight teams will compete in the u/14 hockey category.

The schools from PE that will participate in the event are: Cape Recife Primary, Charlo Primary, Settlers Park Primary, Clarendon Park Primary, Willow Academy Primary, St Joseph’s Primary, Abraham Levy, Rowallan Park, Dr Viljoen, Tjaart van der Walt, Parsons Hill Primary, Kabega Park Primary, Verkenner Primary, Collegiate Primary and Mount Pleasant.

There are a host of trophies up for grabs in the various categories. Lucky draws will also take place where a R1 500 KFC prize can be won.

The first match will start at 8am and the prize giving will begin at 3:30pm.
