THE members of Swallows Football Club are rejoicing over the new kit that was donated to them by Hollywoodbets Korsten.The Hollywoodbets Korsten team visited the club at their home ground to deliver the new soccer kit. Roy Mitchell, the club’s junior chairman and coach, thanked them for the donation.“Our boys have never had a full set of playing jerseys and as a result they are excited to play in their new kit,” he said. Swallows FC staff first started coaching players in 1934 and to date, the club has recruited about 120 players consisting of junior divisions and two senior divisions. The dedicated team members train twice a week at their home ground in the Gelvandale area. The club counts winning the Easter Tournament two years running, as well as being the first club in the northern areas to get into the Castle League as some of their proudest moments. Swallows are proud to say that they have former members playing for Golden Arrows in the PSL, as well as in the Vodacom League and the Castle League.
