Teams face off in Eastern Province rugby challenge

RUGBY supporters were treated to a number of spectacular games when their sides battled it out in the Eastern Province (EP) Rugby Grand Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Gardens RFC supporters saw their side humiliate Suburbans RFC 72-22 in their one-sided game.

In another game, Jeffreys Bay RFC had to dig deep to overcome SAPS RFC 21-19.

Trying Stars RFC managed to secure a 22-13 victory from Wallabies RFC and Kruisfontein RFC faced a tough Port Elizabeth side, Park RFC, and walked away with a 32-24 win.

The tough Despatch RFC overpowered Brumbies RFC 41-17 in their easy encounter that took place in Despatch.

Nelson Mandela University RFC registered a close 19-13 win over Harlequins RFC at the South Campus, while Bourn Fighters RFC suffered a 20-18 home loss to African Bombers RFC.

Star of Hope RFC’s in-form players scored a comfortable 22-13 victory over Windvogel RFC in Windvogel.
