A NUMBER of teams secured valuable league points, while others failed to impress their loyal supporters during the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League encounters which were played at the weekend.

Madibaz were brave enough to tame Roaring Tigers, thrashing them 5-0 in their game which took place at the NMU South Campus Fields. Hearts seemed to have lost the impressive form with which they started the season after they were held to a 1-1 draw by newcomers FC Winners.

Despite losing 3-2 to PE Sundowns at Jabavu Stadium, Young Killers gave it their all, while fans saw what was described as the game of the season when Young Ideas defeated Camper United 3-2 at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium.

Amarhamba United, who have had a bad run since the start of the season, stunned Fairview Rovers with a 3-0 victory at Mqhayi Primary School in Uitenhage.

Despatch Pioneers shared a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Motherwell Academy in their game at Khayamnandi Stadium in Despatch and Major Chiefs had to dig deep to overcome Highland Spurs 1-0 at Zwide Stadium.

Finally, Ikamva Movers managed to defeat Mabayibone Strikers 2-1 at Chevrolet Stadium, while Golden Aces surprised the log leaders, Morning Stars, defeating them 2-1 at Zwide Stadium.
