Three Valley Markets this festive season

THE artisanal food fair that showcases the best of the Bay’s local food purveyors, the Valley Market, will take place on three dates in December due to the Bay being a bustling summer holiday destination in December.

Since the Valley Market’s launch in May this year, 3 000 locals have come to sample the very creative and ‘out of the ordinary’ food products on sale. The market has since grown with over 60 exhibitors at each market and an average of 4 000 shoppers attending.

One can expect to find anything and everything at the market from gourmet fudge and chocolate, homemade ice-cream, clay-oven pizzas, seafood paella to artisanal breads and spreads, boutique teas and nutritional health shakes. The list goes on!

There is also a huge focus on health food at the market which is in keeping with today’s shift toward nutritional and ethically conscious food. They offer products for Banting and Paleo enthusiasts, as well as gluten free, sugar free and protein shakes.

The Valley Market has a close connection with the Love Story Organisation which serves the needy within the community through feeding schemes and clothing distribution. All proceeds raised through ticket sales go back into the community through Love Story’s projects.

The dates for the market are December 5 and 12 and a very special “Christmas in the Valley” is planned for the 19th with lots of Christmas shopping and carols.
