Tough league games end in stalemate

SUPPORTERS of many of the SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay SAB Regional League teams saw their sides sharing draws during the games which were played on Saturday.

Following their recent 2-1 loss to Golden Aces, Major Chiefs played to a 3-3 draw against Despatch Pioneers at Zwide Stadium. Highland Spurs supporters saw their side holding Golden Aces to 1-1 draw at Jabavu Stadium.

Spurs’ supporters expected to see their side collect three maximum league points, following their 1-1 draw with Madibaz Football last week.

Newly promoted side Stinging Bees held Amarhamba United to a goalless draw in their away game at the Jabavu Stadium in Kwanobuhle.

The New Brighton derby produced some fireworks despite Bush Bucks playing to a goalless draw against PE Sundowns in Chevrolet Stadium.

Roaring Tigers’ supporters expected nothing more than a win, but their side’s game against Young Teenagers ended in a 1-1 draw at Chevrolet Stadium.

Camper United played to a goalless draw when they hosted their neighbours, Motherwell Academy, at the Motherwell NU 9 Sta­dium.

Only two sides made their supporters happy when they secured three maximum league points during their home games.

In the first game, Motherwell School of Excellence FC managed to beat Sibanye Colts 4-2 at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium, while in the second game, Madibaz Football overcame FC Winners 1-0 at South Campus Field in Summerstrand.
