THE streets of Port Elizabeth will soon explode with a vibrant display of music, dance and pageantry when the REDD’S Street Carnival returns to Kings Beach on March 5.

The gates to Kings Beach will open at 3pm with the carnival procession starting from the NMMU campus at 5.30pm, followed by an epic after-party until midnight.

The carnival will be soaring to red-hot heights this year with a colourful mix of local art and culture groups, pantsula dancers, giant puppets and South African inspired floats. The day’s agenda will include a sizzling line-up of some of South Africa’s hottest talent such as Twinz on Deck, Blayze, Ricky Rick, Black Motion, Dream Team, DJ Shimza, Chad da Don and iFani.

“Port Elizabeth, we are bringing fire to your hood this year with the REDD’S Street Carnival. Last year was so lit and you guys were insane! Thanks for showing us the love. We can’t wait to see you all again in March,” said hip hop music group, Dreamteam.

The after-party is free and for over 18’s only. All attendees are recommended to drink responsibly.

Consumers should visit REDD’S social media pages, for information on how to gain entry to the event.
