VICTORY Raceway will host the Curt Alchin Memorial Race on January 21 in honour of the South African racing champion.

Alchin tragically passed away on January 28, 2012, while competing in a V8 American Saloon race. He was a multiple South African champion in oval racing and other facets of racing.

Victory Raceway wants to honour his legacy in hosting a memorial race in remembrance of the motorsports legend.

The event will take place on January 21 at Victory Raceway in Victoria Drive, Walmer. The gates will open at 3pm with racing kicking off at 6pm.

Entry is R50 for adults and R10 for children under the age of 13.

The classes competing in the race will be the Development, 1660’s, 2.1 Modifieds, Super Six’s and American Saloons.

Braai facilities will be available, as well as food stalls. For more info, contact Maggie on 082 656 8830.
