This came after they beat Golden Stars 2-0 in their clash at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Sunday. Volcano exerted immense pressure on Stars, who defended as a unit. The hosts kept on taking the game to the visitors. A long-awaited goal was finally scored by Volcano’s goal poacher, Kamvelihle Speelman, in the 21st minute. Volcano kept pushing for a second goal but the visitors’ goalkeeper stood her ground.The Motherwell lasses missed numerous goal-scoring opportunities as their sure-footed striker Speelman failed to convert their chances into goals. Volcano’s skipper, Babalwa Peter, then unleashed a powerful shot that was spilled by Stars’ goalkeeper.Busisiwe Tancu pounced on the rebound to knock in a goal in the 55th minute and complete the scoring.
