FANS witnessed an eruption of goals as Volcano Ladies thumped Fire Stars 10-0 in their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Women’s Regional League game, which took place at Motherwell NU 9 Stadium on Sunday.

Volcano, who are one of the top sides in the regional league, came into the game brimming with confidence. Fire Stars, who are newcomers to the regional league, looked shaky and disorganised in the midfield and at the back.

Volcano capitalised on the blunders of their opponents. Kamva Speelman scored Volcano’s opening goal in the fifth minute of the game.

Speelman banged her second goal in the seventh minute.

One of Stars’ defenders conceded own goal in the 10th minute, with Volcano leading 3-0.

Lisakhanya Ngxwashula scored her goal in the 14th minute.

Speelman added a fourth goal in the 19th minute. Siphosethu Nongovu registered her goal in the 25th minute.

Sive Takuta scored a goal in the 50th minute to give Volcano a 7-0 lead. Speelman scored her last three goals in 53th, 57th and 60th minutes.
