Volunteers sought to make soup

2016-07-13 06:00

VOLUNTEERS in Port Elizabeth are invited to help make 2 500 litres of soup to feed the hungry as their 67-minute contribution to the internationally celebrated Mandela Day, which is July 18.

The great soup cook-up is being hosted by the Radisson Blu Hotel and Algoa Cares on the Pollock beach lawn opposite the Radisson Blu Hotel on Saturday, July 16 from 10am until 5pm.

Volunteers will assist Algoa FM presenters and Radisson Blu Hotel chefs with the chopping of vegetables and the making of sandwiches.

Alternatively people can deliver a food parcel to the value of R67, or a tin or bag of pet food to the venue on the 16th.

Ten Nelson Mandela Bay charities will benefit. – REPORTER
