THE Wedgewood Family Market is showing the love to Port Elizabeth market-goers with a bigger and better offering for its Valentine’s weekend edition on Saturday, February 13.

The Wedgewood Golf and Country Estate on Old Cape Road will provide a scenic backdrop to the second market of the year, with an expanded line-up of more than 40 stallholders setting up shop between 9am and 2pm.

With an array of artisanal foods, craft beer, fresh-cut flowers and organic produce, lovebirds will be sure to find all the ingredients for a special meal to celebrate the day of love.

According to organiser Elsje Smuts of Trueblue Communication and Events, the rustic country market would be the ideal venue for finding romantic inspiration.

“But more than that, it’s also the perfect place for families to show their love for each other and for moms and dads to spend some quality time with their kids.”

Smuts said the popular 1km and 5km family fun runs would kick off proceedings at 8.30am.

“For this market we’ve also added a dedicated play area to keep the kids entertained with jumping castles, play dough and sand art activities.”

Entry to the market costs R10 per person and children younger than 12 years enter free. For more info, go to www.facebook.com/wedgewoodfamilymarketpe or contact Elsje on 082 873 7663 or elsje@truebluecommunication.co.za.
