Will 2018 be Mahle Old Grey’s year to win Old Buck league?

2018-04-11 06:01

THE question everyone currently in the Old Buck Legends League is asking is whether Kuyga Masters will be able to defend their league title seeing they won it by only one point in 2017.

Kuyga have made some interesting new signings and they still have David July and Enoch Chekure to score some more goals for them.

Maybe it will be Callies’ year who were pipped by one point by Kuyga last year. Karl Perreira and Nigel Bailey will again be seen in Callies colours this year.

Stalwart Arthur “China” Chan-King and regular goal scorer Wayne Jooste will again run out for Westpark this season. Grant Pillay decided to join Westpark. Priory Shamrocks who did not do so well in 2017 have signed Deon Carolus to bolster their attack alongside Rory Mortimer.

They are hoping to do better than the 2017 second last position.

Shamrocks, who finished middle table last year, will hope that Kumarin “Bubble” Naidoo and Naj Padachie score a good few more goals for them in 2018.

Mahle Old Grey have most of their 2017 players back, however EPFA legend, Scott Keevy, has joined them and I am sure that Scott will score a good few goals along with Johan Bezuidenhout, Jason Aitken, Andrew Beynon and Jogoo Julius.

African Leopards, who headed the 2017 log for a few weeks, will have Ncedisa Goniwe, Tabo Simani and Sipho Solomon to lead their attack. Three new clubs, namely, Central Acemates, Fairview Rovers and St Albans, have joined the PELFA Old Buck League.

Will 2018 be Mahle Old Grey’s year to win the Old Buck league?
