Womanhood seminar held for Grade 12 girls

THE Soroptimist International Organisation will be holding their Adventure into Womanhood seminar on Saturday.

The organisation will be engaging with Grade 12 learners from different schools in Port Elizabeth, where they will receive presentations on a healthy lifestyle, womanhood as well as the best tips on how to master their interview etiquette.

The young girls will also get an opportunity to hear some wise words from the deputy director of nursing at Bhisho, Bridgette Smith. Soroptimist International is a global women’s volunteer organisation which focuses on service projects to transform the lives of women and girls.

Convening in the field of human rights, the organisation aims to enable, empower and educate women and girls.

They are involved in a number of initiatives, including Thuthuzela Care Centre at Dora Nginza, where they assist with the upkeep of the centre and provision of care packs for clients of the organisation as well as the Khaya Cheshire Care Centre.
