Diep River police say a total of 59 people were arrested for various offences, ranging from possession of drugs, possession of stolen cars, housebreaking and theft, assault, attempted armed robbery and armed robbery to drunk driving, in their policing precinct during April.

Diep River police spokesperson Sergeant Amanda Gordon says 38 vehicle checkpoints and two road blocks were held and 13 fines were issued.

“This office wishes to express sincere gratitude to all Diep River police officers, as well as our external partners, such as City of Cape Town Law Enforcement, security companies, neighbourhood watches and reservists, for the constant hard work and dedication to the fight against crime.”
