Burnt body found in Lavender Hill

Steenberg police are urging anyone with information to come forward after the burnt body of an unknown man was found in Lavender Hill last week.

Police spokesperson Constable Zodwa Kedama says the body was found at the back of 5th Avenue, Village Heights on Thursday afternoon last week.

“Police were informed about the discovery of the deceased and on arrival at the scene found the burnt body of a man,” she says.

Kedama says at this stage the age of the deceased is also unknown.
