Come dance with Cool Sounds

2015-05-05 07:19

Take time to polish your dancing shoes because the Cool Sounds dance band is getting its beat going for the ComArt gala dinner dance.

The event will take place at the Goodwood civic centre on Friday from 19:30.

ComArt is a non-profit organisation based in Elsies River that provides access to arts training and resources as a means to promote community growth, development and nation building.

Established in 1997, its initiatives have encompassed choral and vocal training and performances, youth development programmes, music instrumental training, dance classes and cultural heritage initiatives. It has also run wellness activities, international exchange programmes and the Elsies youth arts collective.

“The gala dance evenings hosted by ComArt always prove to be popular, sold-out affairs, with an evening of great music, dancing and socialising,” says David Sylvester of ComArt.

“We are delighted to have Cool Sounds on board for this event and a welcome cheese and wine on arrival will set the scene for a wonderful evening of entertainment.”

The Goodwood civic centre is on the corner of McDonald Street and Dingle Road. Tickets cost R100 and are available at the door from 19:00.
