Copper thieves raid primary school

2015-07-07 06:00

R3500 worth of copper was stolen from Norma Road Primary School in Silvertown on Monday last week.

A staff member of the school discovered the next day that electrical wiring had been stolen.

The police have encouraged the community to serve as their ears and eyes at schools, especially during the school holidays when there is little to no activity on these premises.

The police have also addressed the community in the various school precincts in Athlone to report it if they see any suspicious people tampering with school fences or trespassing on school property
