Project 021 will be hosting a highlight on its calendar soon – its inter-school competition for dance crews.

The competition exists to showcase young talent and to develop team-building skills and discipline while using the winter school holiday constructively.

Pupils from across Cape Town have been hard at work this holiday to prepare for the event. Groups from Welcome, St Theresa’s and Woodlands primary schools and Heideveld and Cathkin high schools compete against schools from Thornton, Lavender Hil, Durbanville and Bellville.

180 participants will be competing in different categories at Joseph Stone Auditorium on Saturday 8 August.

Project 021 focuses on developing young people holistically. With this in mind, they’ve partnered with Damelin College to award one pupil a bursary. V

Tickets to watch the competition cost R30 each. Call 072 602 8570 or email for more information
