Free blood pressure and glucose testing

2015-05-19 06:00

The Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa will hold a free screening on Thursday, at Vangate Mall between 09:00 and 14:30.

Nurses will be on hand to provide free blood pressure and blood glucose tests. These tests can help a person know if they are at risk of suffering from a cardiovascular disease.

The aim of the screening programme is to help people to “know their numbers” and raise awareness of hypertension. Due to unhealthy lifestyles, many families are touched by preventable heart disease and stroke.
