Local artists will be showing their softer side when they take to the stage at the Bellville Civic Theatre in aid of charity on Sunday 26 July.

They’ll be performing at People’s Post’s sister publication, TygerBurger’s annual Want ons Kan/’Cause we Can! charity concert, which aims to offer financial support to different local organisations.

Now in its thirteenth year, the concert, for which TygerBurger is the media sponsor, has already generated R1.8m in donations.

This time round, Project Dignity, Fisantekraal Centre for Development and Choc will be the beneficiaries of the one-night-only event.

The artists on stage provide their time and services free of charge and audience members can buy their tickets directly from their charity of choice, ensuring that every cent raised goes where it’s needed most.

Ticket holders will be treated to performances by Zanne Stapelberg, Nico Nel, Jak de Priester and Altus Muller, Anna Davel, Mathys Roets and Jaconell Mouton (klavier), Marc Lottering, Wicus van der Merwe, Peter Mitchell, Schalk Joubert (bass), Luna Paige (vocals and piano), Vernon Swart (drums), Corlea, Andre and The Swingers, David Kramer, Dewald Wasserfall, Dowwe Dolla, Pedro Kruger, Hiram Koopman, Albert Frost and Arno Carstens while Tracey Lange and Hannes van Wyk will tie everything together as the MCs.

Want ons Kan/’Cause we Can! 2015 will be on stage at the Bellville Civic Theatre from 18:00 for 18:30. Tickets cost R250 and are available directly from the beneficiaries: V
