With lots of specials on offer for children, the winter school holidays are a great time to explore Cape Town.

Between Saturday 27 June and Sunday 19 July children visiting Cape Point will be able to enjoy a free ride on the electric-powered Flying Dutchman Funicular when accompanied by a full paying adult.

Families could also consider buying a Table Mountain National Park My Green Card which offers card holders 12 free entries into any of the Table Mountain National Park’s pay points in a year at just R110.

With the Table Mountain National Park My Green Card, there is no need to pay for the entire family to enter Cape Point. The TMNP My Green Card offers great value as without the card, just one adult entry to Cape Point costs R110.

Children will get a free kids meal with every main meal at the Two Oceans restaurant.

On this side of the mountain, children can look forward to experiencing the Table Mountain Cableway at a discounted rate until Saturday 31 October.

The Kidz Season ticket special sees two kids under 18 years ride for free (normal child rate R110) when an adult return ticket is purchased for R225 (price valid until 30 September) at the ticket office.

The fun starts when children collect a treasure map from the ticket office.

Children will receive a sweet treat from the Shop at the Top and fruit dainties from the Café when they hand in the vouchers printed on the treasure map.

Hunting for treasure can generate quite an appetite so the Café is offering a Kidz Season special that includes a pizza slice, white chocolate slush and a marshmallow kebab, priced at R45 per child.V

Visit www.capepoint.co.za for more information about Cape Point or www.tablemountain.net for more about the cableway and current specials.
