A Woodlands man was arrested and has subsequently appeared in court on charges of drug possession.
The Lentegeur police station’s crime prevention unit received information that drugs were being kept in Russell Harvey Street, says spokesperson Sergeant Cathy Meyer.
“The officers recovered 72 packets of tik with the estimated street value of R11 520. The 31-year-old man appeared in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court on Thursday,” she says.
The Lentegeur police management thanks all community structures who joined the fight against crime.
“We urge the community to remain vigilant and to contact their respective sector commanders and for those who have not yet joined our structures to join us by becoming part of their street committees,” Meyer says
