Oom Schalk rides into Muizenberg this week to regale with Bosman stories at the Masque Theatre.

Directed by Celia Musikanth, the show, Oom Schalk, from the Heart 2 that will be staged from tonight (Tuesday) until Saturday 26 September, is a sequel to David Muller’s previous work where Oom Schalk tells the stories of Herman Charles Bosman.

“Because there will be a special matinee on Heritage Day,” explains Muller, “I plan to give two Bosman anthologies away to two lucky patrons.”

The opening night tonight (Tuesday) is also a special with tickets going at two for the price of one.

The Oom Schalk team, including a young Wendy Thompson as lighting designer and June Edwards designing the posters, is keen to spread the exciting work of Bosman far and wide.

Those in the front row are also in for a thirst quenching treat from the Groot Marico.

All evening shows are at 20:00 with two matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 14:30. V

Tickets cost R90 and R60 for matinees or R70 or R60 for matinees for Masque members, pensioners and learners
