Roads closed on M3, M5

2015-10-20 06:00

Motorists are warned of road closures to allow road resurfacing on the M3 and M5.

The roadworks started last week. Work on the M3 is scheduled to be finished by Thursday 29 October. Work on the M5 is scheduled to be completed by Friday 6 November.

The work will be scheduled to limit the impact on traffic flow as far as possible.

The affected stretches of the M5 are as follows:

. On the southbound carriageway from the Wetton Road bridge to the first bridge joint

. On the northbound carriageway from the last bridge joint to the Wetton Road bridge

. The Ottery on-ramp and off-ramp (where work will be done on Sundays only, and will require a full closure)

Road resurfacing is currently taking place along the southbound carriageway of the M3 from the Kendal Road bridge up to the unfinished bridge.

One lane at a time will be closed between 09:00 and 15:30 on weekdays.

Residents can contact the transport information centre on 0800 65 64 63 for updates.
