Robbers escape in Crawford

Police are on the hunt for three men in connection with a house robbery in Crawford on Sunday.

At 22:30, three men broke into a house in Belthorn Road, confirms Lansdowne police spokesperson Sergeant Nkululeko Mnyaka.

“The complainant had just arrived home and was opening the door when he was approached by two men. One threatened him with a knife and pushed it against his back, forcing him inside the house,” Mnyaka says.

The third man then joined the others inside the house.

The men took a racing mountain bicycle worth R3 000, an Acer laptop worth R7 000 and an Armani watch worth R3 000.

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

A case of house robbery has been opened for investigation.

No injuries were sustained and no arrests have yet been made.
