The Jive Slave Route Challenge on Sunday is one of those not-to-be-missed events on the Cape Town calendar.

There is a choice of race for everyone – a halfmarathon, a 10km run, a 10km big walk and a 5km fun run/walk.

The event, of which People’s Post is the media sponsor, starts in Darling Street opposite City Hall. A scenic and historical route takes you past many important landmarks and ends at the Grand Parade.

By entering each participant will receive one free entry to the Castle of Good Hope and the District 6 museum and a R200 Mizuno shoe discount voucher.

If you’ve entered the Challenge at Sportsmans Warehouse and forgotten to collect your race number this past weekend, you can still collect your race number on the ground floor in City Hall in Darling Street on Friday from 16:00 to 20:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00.

If you’ve entered online, you can collect your race number at City Hall on the same days and times.

Late entries will be accepted at City Hall on Friday from 16:00 to 20:00; Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from 05:30 to 08:15 (but there are limited spots available).
