What is the fine line between openness, access and control? Do constraints provide a safe and free society in which to thrive, or do they hinder our existence? These difficult questions will be tackled, with some solutions offered, at TEDxCapeTown 2015. Already in its fifth year, TEDxCapeTown 2015 tackles the delicate and highly relevant paradox of openness, access and control. As a non-profit organisation dedicated to “ideas worth spreading”, TEDxCapeTown continues to challenge perceptions and engage its audience in worthwhile conversations. The main event takes place on Saturday and Sunday at City Hall and brings together speakers and audience members to explore the paradox of open access control in different contexts. The event will take place from 08:30 to 17:00, and tickets are available at R380, including lunch, snacks and access to the afterparty, from www.tedxcapetown.org.
