Canal Walk will be transformed into to a magical theatre this school holiday where children can get to know the timeless tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Presented by Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer, this adaption of the Brothers Grimm classic features some of South Africa’s brightest young musical theatre stars.

Leading the company is Joanna Abatzoglou in the title role of Snow White. Her recent theatre appearances include featured roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express at the Joburg Theatre and the role of the Usherette in the Fugard Theatre’s smash hit season of The Rocky Horror Show.

Nacia Kruger stars as the Evil Queen Grimhilde while Kyle Jardine plays the tall, dark and handsome Prince Charming.

This fairytale has all the ingredients that make for a visual spectacular, with the combination of a beautiful princess, a charming prince, an evil queen, a magical mirror and seven adorable dwarfs.

This family musical will run from Saturday 27 June until Sunday 19 July.V

The show will be staged at 11:00, 12:30 and 14:00 Tuesdays to Sundays. Tickets cost R75 and are available at Computicket. Canal Walk will donate a percentage of each ticket sold, as well as the proceeds of programme sales to Stop Hunger Now. The centre will also play host to the Western Cape leg of the million meal challenge packing event, where the goal is to pack one million meals nationally for Mandela Day.WIN! WIN! WIN!
