Socks a plenty for winter feet

A local businessman stepped up and donated 820 pairs of socks after the recent appeal made by Tokai Lions Club.

Following the club’s fundraising quiz nights and its naked baby project, a Mr S Mundell donated 820 pairs of socks for the baby care packs, plus socks for men, boys and girls, which will be distributed in the club’s winter drive for community members in need.

Andy Norminton accepted the socks on behalf of Tokai Lions.

“Mr Mundell’s generosity is incredible. I couldn’t actually carry all the socks at once as there were so many.

“Mr Mundell was very conscious of the winter weather coming and getting the socks distributed to babies and adults before the cold weather”, Norminton says
