KIN Culture, a Cape Town-based NGO, is launching a pop-up store in the heart of Cape Town for the month of June.

The organisation is building a village for orphans and vulnerable children.

The pop-up store comes shortly after the launch of its online store,

These stores offer a mix of quality products from local communities around the peninsula. The shop is a collaboration with like-minded entrepreneurial companies ButtaNutt, MovePretty and Bright Owl.

The profits are invested in orphans and vulnerable children. There are about five million orphans in South Africa, the organisation says in a statement.

The vision of KIN Culture is to build a village that will be a home for orphans. The village will house a school, medical facilities and a wide range of things like sports activities and arts and skills development.

The KIN Culture pop-up store will be at 150 Long Street from 3 to 29 June
