Heideveld housing

. The houses in Hazendal: Do those houses only apply to the people who registered before 2001?

. I only hope the City of Cape Town won’t allow washing hanging from verandas, nor blankets and plastic sheets for curtans. It will bring down the property value in Hazendal (“Bulldozers to move in”, People’s Post, 17 March). Strict laws needed. – Wally, Lansdowne

. I would like information [to become a] housing beneficiary. I did an application for a house at Bridgetown Community Centre 10 years ago. – M Meyer

. We’ve been waiting for 27 years for a house and went through all the screening, and still our name is not on the list. So what must we do to get our names on the list? 110 people have been approved, but why not us? I’m trying to be happy but how can I be? – Mrs J Jacobs

. 153 houses for Hazendal, Athlone ownership beneficiaries “dream come-true”. City housing is herewith congratulated. – Abdul Harnekar

Heideveld school

. Re “Drugs: plea for cops to act” (People’s Post, 4 March). Thank you for the article. It mentions twice of fake tip-offs and how much time and resources are wasted. Well done on a sterling effort in putting out community issues. – Hugh

The role of the media is to report on facts, which is what the report has done using relevant, trustworthy sources. – Ed.

. Why can’t the Hawks invest time to sniff out drug dealers like they do with abalone illicit activities? – Charles A

Belgravia upgrade

. Councillor Benedicta van Minnen does not know the frustration of Belgravia residents
