. The police vehicles are parked at houses, but they claim the police cars are patrolling.

. More than five burglaries took place in one month in the Colorado area. The guys got away and it seems that nothing has been done. I am sure people will get frustrated. It costs people more and more money to secure themselves whereas these thugs casually take what people work hard for. It is so unfair. Please create work for those who are walking around doing nothing. Let them sign up for something. Use tax money and create jobs and make our country safe again. That’s all I ask of the government.

Street committee

. I live on the other side of Katdoring where we have a street committee. We have a woman of over 70-years-old that sits till late at night at a bonfire to help fight crime in our area. We have so much drug-dealing and other crimes being committed here...Crime has subsided since we started patrolling our streets, including Tambotie, Baobab, Ironwood, Kringhout, Kershout, Blinkblaar in Eastridge. - Lisa


. Regarding your article “A demand for answers” (People’s Post, 24 March): You can have many meetings, but as long as gangsters control corrupt policemen – not all I may add – nothing will change. We must form small groups of trained law enforcement people and eliminate these elements from our midst if the law has failed for more than 20 years to convict them. - P.J
