Pooches on leashes

. Make sure your dog is on a leash at all times when in public spaces. As this is an open space for the public, dog owners need to be taught that dogs are or can become vicious animals towards people and other strange dogs. - Concerned Plumstead resident

. All dogs must be on a leash when walking them in public. Aggressive breeds such as the pit bull should be muzzled when walking in public. Gates where dogs are kept should be secured with a lock.

. Any dog seen on the street unleashed or even leashed but not fully under control of the walker, should have action taken against them. A fine for non-adherence to by-laws and where a dog has escaped from a property not suitably secured, it should be removed from the property and owner until acceptable updates to the security have been made.

. I feel threatened on a daily basis when walking my two spaniels on the Hout Bay beach. My dogs are always on a leash, but many dog owners do not do this. I think it should be a law that if you walk your dog in any public area, it should be on a leash.

. I am so happy with the police who are doing a good job. But here in Westlake is a tavern selling beers without a licence. He allegedly has police friends where he lives. Can you please send these guys here to Westlake.

. A lot of the crimes occur before 07:00 and after 18:00 at the bridge that links Westlake with Pick n Pay. Please help?
