Capri fence

. Yes. Close the pathway between Blackhill Road and Tobago Way in Capri. Truckloads of noisy workers get dropped off there every evening and walk past our house, shouting, sometimes using convenient bush as a toilet.

. Please get it fenced off! It is crime-ridden in Tobago Way and all of Capri. There is a squatter camp between Blackhill and Capri! An entire squatter camp! Capri is suffering because of it – particularly Tobago Way! Help, please!

. Definite yes to the fence between Capri and Blackhill. Vagrants use this space as a toilet. Also rubbish gets taken there, bags are ripped open and rubbish blows everywhere. Crime is easy to commit as there’s quick access to the highway, where a getaway vehicle is parked. Neighbours provide unlimited access to water and refuse to remove tap. Constant stream of vagrants help themselves daily. It’s a nightmare.

. Fencing to curb crime. That’s pathetic.

Taxis

. With reference to “Fight over routes” (21 April) a cleaner at our school (Tanja from Springfield) was shot in the leg during the Westlake taxi protests. She was simply an innocent commuter caught in the crossfire. She is a single mother supporting 3 children and will probably spend months in hospital as she was hit in the knee with an exploding bullet that has destroyed most of the joint and her lower leg. Will the taxi association’s commitment to “rights” extend to feeding Tanja’s children and helping her to survive if their protest has cost her her leg?
