The Smith family in Parkwood is grateful for the support shown by the public towards the fundraiser for their son, Bradley.

Bradley’s dream of going to the USA Hip-Hop Dance Championships taking place in Phoenix in Arizona from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 August has come true.

He is leaving on Friday 2 August and it’s through the positive response to Bradley’s appeal (“Help make an artist’s dream come true”, People’s Post, 6 June) that he can live his dream.

According to his father, Lionel, the fundraising event that took place at Upper Hall in Steenberg on Saturday 6 July was well attended.

“People still came even though it was raining. Everything was in place, the artists were all awesome,” says Lionel.

The family had raised R6000 which helped them finalise the payment for Bradley’s trip by Monday 8 July and he received his visa on Monday 15 July. The total cost was R33 000.

He thanked everyone who assisted and helped sponsor the trip.

Bradley expressed his excitement saying it is a dream come true and hopes to comeback and start his own dance school.
