A helping hand for crime victims

2018-12-18 06:00

Fish Hoek police’s victim support staff offer a free debriefing and counselling service to anyone in the community who has been through, or is going through, a crisis or trauma. A crisis or trauma is any unexpected event in your life, usually unavoidable and life changing. Some examples of traumatic events are death, accident, hijacking, drug/alcohol abuse, rape, robbery, domestic abuse and divorce among other things.

The staff provide a safe place for you to share your experiences with a counsellor who will listen to you.

They will maintain confidentiality, refer you for further support and help you explore your options so you can decide what is the best thing for you to do. Contact the Fish Hoek police’s Community Service Centre (CSC) on 021 784 2700 to make an appointment to speak to a counsellor.
