Police have arrested an alleged drug dealer in Lentegeur today (26 May).

Vispol police officers, Constables Virgil Rossouw and Andre Gouws were attending to complaints and doing patrols in the Lentegeur precinct this afternoon when they spotted a known dealer in Viooltjie Street.

The suspect was on a motor bike when officers stopped and searched him.

Police found tik, mandrax tablets and dagga with an estimated street value of R20 000.

The 58-year-old male suspect was arrested on charges of possession of drugs.
