In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Alpine Primary School invited former staff and residents of the surrounding area to an event at the Shekinah Full Gospel Church of God on Thursday. The school was officially opened in July 1987 and was known as “number 55” before being named.

Some of the invited guests included principals of nearby schools, sponsors, neighbours, former Alpine principals and staff, education department officials, parents and people who had a hand in the school over the past few years.

Three of the four former principals addressed the guests. Song and dance performances by learners rounded off the programme.
