Apply for stall at neighbourly event

2016-10-25 06:00

Stalls are still available for the next Meet Your Neighbour event.

The event at the Strandfontein sports grounds on Saturday 5 November offers an opportunity for local businesses to network and organisations to raise funds while interacting with the community they serve.

Stalls are open to a variety of organisations such as businesses, food vendors, flea market stalls and information on services.

The event is open to all.

Some of the invited service departments and organisations include the PDSA, the local library, Melomed, Scorpion Security, the NSRI, Disaster Management Volunteer Unit, Cansa, St Lukes Hospice, False Bay Nature Reserve and the police’s CSI unit.

People’s Post is also a print media partner and will be present at the event.

“The benefits of exhibiting at the event includes face to face interaction with potential clients and the networking opportunity is vast as many residents are introduced to products and services available within the community,” says organiser Mario Oorstendurp.

This year many start-up businesses will be exhibiting, including bakers, perfume manufacturers, caterers, printers, fitness coaching and dance instruction. “Fee structure varies. A total of 30% of the exhibitors are invited free of charge and the general flea market stalls are available at R150. Business exhibition space is available which can be discussed as we are open to negotiating resources and prizes instead of payment,” he says.

All exhibitors and traders will need to provide all their own equipment, including gazebos and furniture, display equipment and power supply. Set-up on the day starts at 07:00, with the event opening at 09:00.

Entry to the event is free to the public.

V Stall application forms are available via email. Contact Mario Oorstendurp on 083 300 8389, WhatsApp on 060 507 0962 or with the subject line MYN 16.
